Why Polyter
The Polyter advantage
Polyter® can reduce water consumption by at least 50 to 80%, allowing cultivated areas to be expanded while reducing water requirements, and can also reduce fertilizer consumption by 30 to 50%.
By reducing water requirements, Polyter® makes it possible to expand cultivated areas, accelerate crop cycles by 1.5 to 3 times, and optimize yield, product quality, and post-harvest performance.
The establishment rate of young trees is close to 100%, across a wide range of soil types and climatic conditions. Polyter® promotes faster development of foliar biomass and production, enabling trees to reach productive maturity more rapidly than trees grown without Polyter®.

Polyter® Technology
Retain. Nourish. Activate.
Polyter® is a hydro-retentive and fertilizing technology that combines a cellulose-based matrix, a cross-linked polyacrylate envelope, and a fertilization base.
This unique combination allows Polyter® to retain water and nutrients within the root zone and progressively make them available to the plant according to its needs. Unlike hydro-retention solutions designed solely to retain water, Polyter® also incorporates essential nutrients into its formulation, including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium.

A Universal Technology
Every crop. Every soil. Every climate.
Polyter® is homologated for use on all crops, in all soils, under all climates, from young seedlings to mature trees, from market gardens to large-scale agriculture, including arid environments and temperatures exceeding 50°C. Its technology works directly within the root zone, making water and nutrients continuously available regardless of growing conditions. Unlike conventional solutions, Polyter® encourages roots to develop deeper and stronger, preventing surface clustering and ensuring the plant accesses all the vital elements it needs for healthy long-term growth.

What Makes Polyter® Different
Most water-retention products on the market originate from the petrochemical industry, developed for diapers, paints and films, and repurposed for agriculture without being reformulated for it. They carry no fertilizing elements, degrade rapidly with poor cross-linking, and release stored water in an uncontrolled way. Above 25°C, any combined fertilizing elements release too quickly, making them harmful and unusable in warm climates. Roots cluster around moisture zones, stop developing deeper, and face serious risks of asphyxia from saturated soil. In many cases, retained water even becomes physically unavailable to the plant, as root suction forces are insufficient to extract it from the polymer.
Polyter® was built differently:
- Hydro-retainer, fertilizer, bio-stimulator and activator in one product
- True root symbiosis with active interaction
- Stable beyond 50°C, proven effective in desert and extreme heat conditions
- Operates at only 89 ppb, while standard polymers are authorized up to 500 ppm
- Zero acrylamide detected across crop, soil, fruit and vegetable analyses
- Engineered solely for plant benefit, preserving soil and environment
How Polyter Works
The Polyter Mechanism of Action
The membrane allows for very rapid liquid absorption and the release of stored water via osmotic pressure to the nodulated root mass within the Polyter®. The nodules are effectively grafted onto the roots, accompanying their growth through gravity, with up to 97% of the water being extracted from the nodules. The lifespan of Polyter® ranges from 3 to 5 years, depending on soil type.

1. Applied at the Root Zone
Polyter® is incorporated into the planting hole, substrate, or seedbed during sowing, planting, or transplanting to establish a localized water and nutrient reserve directly within the active root zone.

300–500x Water absorption capacity
2. Hydrates and Stores Water
The semi-permeable polymer matrix absorbs and retains up to 500 times its dry weight in water, together with dissolved nutrients, creating a stable reserve available for future plant uptake.

3. Optimizes Root-Zone Availability
Polyter helps roots connect to hydrated nodules, improving water and nutrient availability while enhancing root stability and protection from climate stress.

4. Improves Plant Performance
Water and nutrients are progressively released according to plant demand, improving water-use efficiency, nutrient-use efficiency, crop establishment, productivity, and resilience under abiotic stress.
